Duolingo is a well-known application for learning foreign languages. The application gets a rating of 4.7 / 5 from users and gets positive responses. I still use this application to learn English because it is accessible and has interesting features.
On the first page, there will be several categories such as things, animals, verbs, adjectives, etc. Not only increase vocabulary, but this application can also improve 4 skills at once.
- For Listening and Writing, in every learning there will be audio, users will be told to write what they have listened from the recording.
- For speaking, Duolingo gives a sentence where the user must try to pronounce it. The sound recordings are saved in red color if we mispronounce and green color if we succeed.
- For reading, users will be told to read sentences and read them according to the time given.
The number of applications, platforms, and websites allows us to learn more than one language. In this technological era, I hope humans can develop positive things, share, and teach to others.
